Privacy
Bird's Eye Brooklyn is made by one person in Williamsburg.
Short version: you can use this site without an account, without being identified, and without being tracked across the web. Nothing here is sold and nothing goes to advertisers.
If you just look at the map
The site counts how it gets used — how many people visit, and which of a handful of things they do: saving an event, opening the filters panel, switching a venue's filter on or off, following a link to Spotify or SoundCloud. That is the whole list.
- These are counts, not records about you. No name, no account, no ID.
- Which event you saved is not recorded — only that a save happened.
- No cookies are set for any of this.
- It is handled by Vercel, who host the site.
The reason it exists: this is one page, so without those counts there is no way to tell which parts are useful and which are confusing.
If you make an account
Signing in is optional and only does one thing — it makes your saved events and filter choices follow you to another device. Then:
- Your email address is stored, so you can sign back in.
- The events you save and the filters you choose are stored.
- That is kept in a database run by Supabase, and it is not shared.
Saving works fine without an account — it stays in your browser.
What is not happening
- No advertising, and no advertising trackers.
- Nothing is sold or handed to data brokers.
- No tracking of what you do on other websites.
- No screen or session recording.
Asking for your data, or its removal
Email and ask. It is one person; you will get a real reply.
